Melbourne FL, September 16, 2013 – Diametriq, a leading LTE signaling solutions provider, today announced a collaboration with Syniverse, a global interoperability solutions provider, and a hosted LTE core network provider to demonstrate the power of LTE roaming with a live demonstration at Booth 45 at the LTE Asia 2013 Conference and Exhibition in Singapore.
The 4G LTE Live Roaming scenario is powered by Diametriq’s Diameter Edge Appliance™ and Syniverse’s global IPX hub. The demonstration will show how a 4G LTE subscriber from the United States roaming into Singapore would have full access to all services in the visited network. The hosted LTE core network provider is served by Diametriq’s Diameter Edge Appliance™, a carrier-grade Diameter Edge Agent and Diameter Interworking Function, which seamlessly connects to the Syniverse IPX Network Solution. The demonstration will also highlight roaming subscribers on a global map when they activate their LTE phones.
“Roaming unleashes the real power of LTE networking without which its capabilities remain sub-optimal. We are pleased to provide LTE subscribers the ability to roam across generations of wireless networks. The Diametriq Diameter Edge Appliance™ has been successfully tested for multi-level congestion management and dynamic traffic management capability under rigorous evaluation of our partners,” said Anjan Ghosal, founder and CEO, Diametriq.
Diametriq’s complete suite of supporting tools like the LTE Diameter Traffic Calculator™, the Diametriq Roaming Simulator™ and an extensive engineering support organization helps enable MNOs experience the power of roaming.
“Across the world, MNOs have a crucial need to speak Diameter, as they interface to global IPX providers to enable LTE roaming. As experts in LTE roaming, our knowledge as well as our LTE roaming suite of tools can make this migration painless for the MNOs,” added Mr. Ghosal.
“As a leading IPX provider across the globe, Syniverse is at the forefront of LTE roaming. This project with Diametriq has helped us bring a stronger value proposition to LTE roaming with customers who need both Diameter expertise as well as an edge device to connect their network to our IPX,” said John Wick, Senior Vice President, Network, Syniverse.
Mr. Ghosal will be speaking on “The Role of Diameter for Roaming in the LTE World” during the Signaling Focus Day at LTE Asia 2013 on September 17.
